Printable Pirate Party Invitations

For the treasure map invitation below, print on light-brownish paper, burn the edges a bit, and slide a wet tea bag on all of the sides of the paper to get that old treasure map look. Make sure you take the necessary precautions when using fire to burn the edges.

After burning the edges, roll each invitation up, tie a string or ribbon around it, and put inside a bottle (leave a piece of sting hanging for easy removal). The bottle can either be a plastic bottle, or for a more authentic look - a glass bottle. For that extra touch, close the bottle with a cork! Add a few tablespoons of sand and small seashells to give it an ocean-like effect (you'll need to hand-deliver these invitations).

Here are several more options for Pirate party invitations. For the worded designs, all you have to do is print out and add the party info either by hand or, place the image in a Word document and use Word's "Text-Boxes" to add the information. On the blank designs, you'll need to add your own wording (the blank versions can easily be turned into Pirate coloring pages!).

The following Pirate invitations are foldable. You first fold in half, and then you fold again in half.

The Pirate invitations below can be rolled up. Once you've rolled up each invitation, you can take some string or ribbon and tie around, then insert into a bottle (as explained above). If you prefer, you can also fold them and place in envelopes.

Printable Pirate Thank-You's

On the thank-you notes below you can write something as simple as "Thank Ye, Matey!" or "Thanks for celebratin' with me on the high-seas, and thanks for the loot - was kind of ye!". (Again, the blank designs can be used as Pirate coloring pages...)

Printable Pirate Decorations

If you're in a hurry, don't want to spend extra money, or just want to add a personal touch to your decorations, here's a selection of printable Pirate decorations you can use to decorate the party area. (Many of these designs can be used as Pirate coloring pages...)

You can hang Pirate flags all around. Just print out these printable Pirate flags (on white or colored paper), then cut each flag out, attach each flag to a stick, and put each stick connected to each flag around the party area.

The smaller Pirate flags below are ones you put on a long string, they are called Pirate flag pennants (like the string of flags you see a lot at car dealerships).

Cut out each small flag, attach to a long string (a stapler would probably be the easiest way), and keep on attaching flags all along the string. Then use this long string of flags to decorate the party area (you can put up lots of these).

You can enhance both the larger and smaller flags by printing out the large and small blank flags on black paper. Then glue on these skeleton and crossbones add-ons (each one should be cut out around the black lines and glued on each black flag):

You can print out the designs below either on color or white paper and tape them around your party area, on chairs, tables, doors, etc. These designs were made to save on precious printer ink and can be used as Pirate coloring pages as well.

You can also print out these Pirate placecards and napkin holders to put on your party table. On each of the placecards you can write each guest's name by adding "Pirate" or "Buccaneer" before their name (for example: "Pirate David" or "Buccaneer Jarred"). You can also make up Piratey names like "Peg-Leg Pete", "Long-Tooth Richard", "Blind-Eye Melissa", "Scarface Brian", "One-Eyed Mandy", "Dirty Dog Paul", etc.

On each printable placecard page there are 4 placecards, print, cut each out, and fold each in half. For the napkin holders, cut around each one and fold in a circle around a napkin, then secure with tape when both ends meet.

Also, make sure you take a look at these awesome Pirate decorations:

Printable Pirate Costume Accessories

You can even print out Pirate costume accessories! Here's a really easy Pirate cone party hat you can print out, cut out, roll up into a cone shape and staple. Add a piece of elastic string and you're all set!

Also check out these cool printable Pirate hats and eye patches:

The black Pirate hat and eye patch design is just an example (you wouldn't want to use up so much black ink). You can print these designs on black cardstock (most-often, even if you print on black paper, you'll still be able to see the lines). Then just cut out along the lines.

Have the kids color the skull, or, if you print out the blank design then also print out these Skeleton and Crossbones add-ons (the least amount of black ink possible) - and just glue each Skeleton and Crossbones add-on to the black Pirate hat you printed out on black paper.

Cut out the eye patch and where you see the dotted lines make a little cut, then insert one side of an elastic string, tie, and fit to a person's head.

For the Pirate hat, you can either attach each Pirate hat with elastic string, or cut out the two long strips and staple or glue together to fit around someone's head. Don't attach strips or string to the far ends of the hat, but rather to where the dotted lines are (that way the far ends don't bend and look more like pirate hats).

Here's another great Pirate costume accessory - this printable sword:

Once you print this sword, cut it out and use it's contour to create swords out of cardboard and/or styrofoam (or let the kids do this as an activity). That way the kids have swords that aren't made of flimsy paper, nor can they hurt anyone. Swords can also be made from long balloons.

Printable Pirate Party Favors

We've created these printable and foldable Pirate favor bags and favor boxes. The kids can decorate them and then fold them themselves. You can also print them out on different-colored paper, possibly the color/s of your child's Pirate birthday party theme.

We've created large favor bags, medium favor bags, and favor-boxes for you to print out. We strongly recommend that you try making these boxes and bags yourself beforehand to get an idea of how it's done. Also, remember that if the kids want to color in the following favorbags and boxes, have them color them in before folding and gluing, when the paper is still flat on the table.

Cut the whole favorbox out (around the black lines). Before you start gluing the favor box, fold along the dotted lines and assemble so that all the sides connect. Only then add glue and secure the folded flaps.

Printable Pirate Favor Bags (Medium-Sized)

For the medium favor bags - print out, cut around, and let the kids color. Before you start gluing the favor bag, fold along the dotted lines and assemble so that all the sides connect. Only then add glue and secure the folded flaps.

Printable Pirate Favor Bags (Large-Sized)

To create the large Pirate favor bags you'll need to print out TWO designs for one favor bag. First, cut along the lines and fold along the dotted lines. Then, connect the two so that the left side of one is glued to the right side of the other. These too can also be used as Pirate coloring pages.

If you're looking for something more festive, here are very cool Pirate favor bags, boxes, and favor kits:
